HIGHLIGHTS

The Panasonic PT-MZ880 is hands down the brightest projector I have ever had in my lab space. The PT-MZ880 delivers an exceptional 8,000 lumens of brightness because of the multiple solid-state laser modules that power its light engine. The light source is rated for 20,000 of maintenance-free operation and can produce more than enough brightness to overcome the ambient light found in so many environments.

The MZ880 brightness blew away Panasonics published rating of 8,000 lumens coming in at 8,683 lumens in the projector’s brightest mode.

In addition to delivering an incredibly bright picture, the PT-MZ880 has all the connections you would expect on a higher-end business/education class projector. While the PT-MZ880 is a WUXGA projector, it can accept 4K content via HDMI and DIGITAL LINK (HDBaseT) inputs for increased clarity and detail.

The PT-MZ880 utilizes a 3LCD imager which improves its bright color reproduction. Using 3LCD is also a factor in the projector’s excellent contrast. The PT-MZ880 is rated at 3,000,000:1 (with dynamic contrast), and while I can’t confirm this number, I can tell you that the MZ880 offers a contrast that looks good with excellent detail in the darker areas of the picture.

The PT-MZ880 is compatible with a range of lenses, so you have plenty of installation flexibility. The unit’s laser light source combined with a sealed phosphor wheel assembly and a reusable air filter ensures years of carefree operation. Panasonic PT-MZ880 owners also receive a 3-year part and labor warranty (3 years or 10,000 hours whichever comes first on the projector's illumination components).
