The Vivitek DH3660Z is a 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, laser projector intended for business and education environments. Its full HD resolution, combined with the high brightness claim makes this projector useful for a variety of higher education environments, museums, entertainment venues, as well as your typical conference room or board room environments. It features a laser light engine, DLP technology and with an RGBY color wheel. It measures 15.5 inches wide, 13.3 inches deep, and 4.9 inches tall, and weighs in at just 15.4 lbs.
Its 1.50:1 manual zoom lens is positioned on the front right side of the projector, with an IR sensor for the remote control on its left. The Vivitek has two screw-thread adjustable feet on the front to help position the projected image when mounted on a table top. On the top of the projector, just behind the lens, are the manual lens controls. Opposite these controls, on the left when facing the front of the projector, are its indicator lights. On the sides of the Vivitek DH3660Z, are the two vents for air intake and hot air exhaust.
The back of the projector has the control panel, and is home to a wide range of inputs and connectors, which we will explore in detail in the following section. The projector can be mounted on a table top or ceiling mounted. Which way you choose will be dependent on your room and applications. The projector does not come with a ceiling mount, as is typical, so you will need to purchase a compatible mount, which can be found on the Vivitek website.
